Duo Basili Kosovinc unites internationally acclaimed musicians Cristina Basili (cello) and Timotej Kosovinc (guitar), who share a profound dedication to exploring the expressive potential of cello–guitar chamber music and forging new paths within the classical tradition. Prizewinners at numerous international competitions, including the Royal Maas Competition and the Ligita Competition, they are recognized for both their artistry and innovation.

Their repertoire spans classical works written for cello and guitar as well as contemporary compositions—many by guitarist and composer Timotej Kosovinc. With a focus on colour, atmosphere, and emotional depth, their performances evoke vivid musical landscapes and foster a unique connection with audiences.

Their recordings have been broadcast on Slovenian, Austrian, and Greek radio and television, and the duo tours extensively, appearing at major chamber music and guitar festivals and in leading concert halls across Europe.
Duo Basili Kosovinc is based in Vienna and performs on Thomastik-Infeld Vienna strings.
